Fried Green Plantain. 6-8 Servings.

  1. Peel plantains and cut into ½ inch slices.
  2. Fry in hot oil until golden.
  3. Place on cutting board and smash the slices with a glass bottle or rolling pin.
  4. Sprinkle with salt and return to pan to fry again.
  5. Fry until crispy.
  6. Drain on paper towels and serve immediately.
  7. ketchup is optional!
